Education Opens Doors mentioned in Stand Together op-ed for Dallas Morning News

In a recent Dallas Morning News opinion piece, Education Opens Doors received a shout out from Stand Together, a funding organization that works with nonprofits across the US to build organizational strategy and increase capacity.

Stand Together shared an update on their work in Dallas and their partner organizations in the city in alignment with Giving Tuesday. Education Opens Doors participated in the Stand Together Catalyst program in early 2018.

But there are many committed individuals and organizations in Dallas who are redefining the way that social change happens by helping people living in persistent poverty improve their own lives. These include local organizations like Bonton Farms, an urban farm helping to eliminate the food desert in South Dallas; Education Opens Doors, which helps at-risk youths increase their confidence and build the necessary skills to succeed in post-secondary education; and Café Momentum, an award-winning restaurant and training platform for young men and women exiting the juvenile justice system.
