This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Education Opens Doors and its affiliates (collectively, “Education Opens Doors,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, protect, use, maintain, and disclose information collected from users (“you,” “your,” or “User”) of the www.educationopensdoors.org website and derivative or affiliated websites or applications on which this Privacy Policy is posted (collectively, the “Site”).

I. Updates to this Privacy Policy.

Education Opens Doors reserves the right, at its discretion, to update this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised copy to the Site. You should check this Privacy Policy periodically for changes. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. If you do not wish for us to process your Personal Information as provided in a revised version of this Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the Site. The date this Privacy Policy was last updated appears at the top of this Privacy Policy.

II. How We Collect and Use Information.

Our Site collects two types of information from and about you: (a) information that you provide that may be used to personally identify or contact you (“Personal Information”); and (b) information that does not personally identify you (“Non-Personal Information”). We collect this information: (i) directly from you when you provide it to us; (ii) automatically as you navigate through the Site; or (iii) from third parties, for example, our business partners.

A. Personal Information.

Education Opens Doors collects Personal Information from Users in a variety of ways. Examples of Personal Information that we collect through the Site include:

IX. Accessing, Correcting, Updating, Accessing, or Removing Personal Information.

If you would like to access, amend, update or remove your Personal Information collected via the Site, you may submit a request to info@educationopensdoors.org. We will promptly review all such requests in accordance with applicable laws.

Please note that in certain circumstances, Education Opens Doors may not be able to completely remove all copies of your information from its systems, including backup systems. For example, Education Opens Doors may retain copies of Personal Information for legitimate business purposes, if it may be necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse or if required by law. X. Additional Considerations.

Children’s Privacy. Our Site is a general audience site. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware of any Personal Information received from users under the age of 13, we will take appropriate steps to promptly delete such information.

Your California Privacy Rights. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users that are residents of California to request from companies conducting business in California certain information regarding Education Opens Doors’ disclosures of personal information (as defined under California law) to third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes.
