We are still so overjoyed at the fun we had and the support that we received from you at our 3rd Birthday Party last Tuesday. What a great way to celebrate 3 years of impact in our community, as well as kick off our 4th year of empowering students and partnering with other nonprofits in our community! Through raffle ticket purchases, our silent auction, donations, and a generous matching gift from Ken and Carolyn Barth, we were able to raise over $11,500 to support the work of Education Opens Doors and our partner, Café Momentum! We are blown away by this outpouring of support! A big THANK YOU to all who attended the event and/or purchased a raffle ticket.
We had a great time with all of our guests who came out and attended the party. Our supporters enjoyed the delicious hors d’ oeuvres provided by Café Momentum, as well as the outgoing and fun service from the interns who cooked and served the food.
A brief presentation took place to thank our partners and supporters. We were honored to also have Principal Nakia Douglas of Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, one of the first principals to implement Roadmap to Success, speak about his support of our work and the positive way that it has impacted his students’ lives.
After a last-minute flurry of purchasing blue and golden raffle tickets, the winners of the raffles and silent auction were announced. Some of the prizes included a custom suit, gift cards to local restaurants, a gorgeous Kendra Scott necklace, and of course, dinner for 8 at Café Momentum.
Thank you to our raffle and silent auction item sponsors, especially Café Momentum, who donated dinner for 8 for our Golden Ticket Raffle. Below is the full list of raffle and silent auction sponsors:

It is only with the support of our community that we are able to empower students and change lives in Dallas! Stay tuned for more ways that you can stay involved and see EOD in the community!
